I am a licensed clinical social worker, therapist, and consultant with 12 years of experience helping Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, Queer, Intersex, and/or Asexual (LGBTQIA) children, youth, adults, and their family members. Located in the Baltimore-Washington area, I help individuals develop new identities, navigate their transition and coming out process, attend to their relationships, and care for their mental health needs as they or their loved ones transition to new gender expressions. In addition, I provide consultation and training services focused on increasing the sensitivity to LGBTQIA issues in the workplace and clinical practice.
I provide a safe and compassionate environment for you to discuss whatever challenges have brought you to therapy, and to help you reach your full potential. I have experience in working with individuals through the lifespan (toddlers through senior citizens), couples, and families of diverse backgrounds, races, ethnicity, and religions.
I focus on your strengths, and assist you in doing the same, in order to help you to identify your goals and work on a plan towards achieving those goals.
As a therapist, my role is to be an objective, un-biased listener, and to support you and help you discover what you already have within you for a successful life, rewarding relationships, and progress toward your goals.
